Ms. A's Cake Smash
There is just something about little girls that I love. Most of the girls I have had in studio tend to get WAAAY more messy than the boys. Why? I totally don't know. Maybe it's the "Oh my gosh there is a cake and mommy is letting me go to town?" or "the only time I'm totally allowed to just get messy!". Ms. A was no exception. She got pretty stinkin' dirty by the end of the session and loved every minute. I could not believe the red hair she had either. She truly is a little

Jen and Joel
I know every photographer says they love every client but seriously...this couple was amazing. I'm pretty sure we were all stuck with thistle by the end of the shoot but there were so many incredible shots and so much love between these two. I love maternity photos as you can capture a time in a mom's life where she is gorgeous and doing the one thing only a woman can do, grow life. On a side note, I LOVE shooting the product of these pictrues after...a beautiful little baby.

Silva Family
Extended families are always so much fun to photograph. I had the pleasure of shooting the little man in these pictures for my spring minis and then mom wanted some pictures of her extended family. Her brother was only going to be able to visit for a very short time and she really wanted to capture some memories of Uncle with his nephew. Her mom and dad were also visiting and were definitely not used to our climate (although this was the day before our last BIG snow) but stil

Three to four months is a hard age to photograph. The babies can't sit up, some can't even stand being on their tummies so as a photographer you are limited in what you can do. When this mom contacted me and wanted some pictures I was a bit hesitant. Then she explained that he had been 2 months early and with his stay in the NICU and finally getting strong enough to go home she had missed the opportunity to get his newborn pictures. I told her I was more than willing to give

Why Do I Offer Minis?
I will admit I am notorious for not updating my family pictures. Yes I know…I’m a photographer so what’s my excuse? Well, I often don’t get to be in the pictures! I find a lot of moms are often in the same boat as me. We take a million pictures of everyone else but very rarely are we seen in those pictures. I love offering minis because it gives mom (or dad) the chance to just have fun, update the family pictures and not worry about being behind the camera. I very much believ

The Eldeek Family
I always love when I get a phone call from a client. This mom contacted me wanting some portraits for her daughter (in studio) and afterwards some family pictures outdoors. She said her son and husband might be a bit reluctant to be in pictures. I told her we would focus on her daughter and sneek them in for as many as we could. Well...the boys were great and pretty much did whatever I asked them to do! I love the shots of big brother playing with his car. He had packed it ar
